The Latest Updates from the Frontier of AI, GenAI Video, and Immersive Experiences
EL AL Israel Airlines has unveiled a sweeping new in-flight safety campaign that uses artificial intelligence to deliver 50 destination-specific videos — a project powered by Voia and filmed in just two days despite featuring major stars and dozens of global backdrops.
The ambitious production represents the first time AI has driven a live-action set at scale, allowing EL AL to replace the traditional one-size-fits-all safety briefing with customized versions tailored to each traveler’s flight route. The resulting collection features Gal Gadot, Rotem Sela, Lior Raz, and Deni Avdija, shot with Hollywood-grade visuals and transformed into dozens of destination-themed films without the need for weeks of travel or location shoots.
“We started Voia to break the bounds of visual storytelling,” said Avner Braverman, CEO of Voia. “It was so great working on this project with EL AL. The team brought on amazing vision and creativity and together we did something no airline has ever done before.”
EL AL challenged Peach — a creative content agency that works at the intersection of technology and storytelling — to reinvent its safety video in a way passengers would actually want to watch. Peach turned to Voia, whose production engine works directly on set with directors and crews, connecting to cameras and rendering scenes in real time. Performances were captured once and then transformed by Voia into 50 fully produced films that reflect the “sights and spirit” of each destination.
“Voia gives filmmakers a level of creative control and efficiency that simply didn’t exist before,” said Scot Barbour, Chief Evangelist at Voia. “I wish I had this 20 years ago — it would have changed everything about how we worked on set and brought stories to life.”
For EL AL, the personalized safety videos mark a global first.
“This is a groundbreaking global initiative — the first time an airline has used artificial intelligence to create in-flight safety videos personalized to each passenger’s destination,” said Nadav Hanin, VP Marketing and Digital at EL AL. “Instead of one uniform video for all routes, every traveler will experience a different safety video that reflects the sights and spirit of the country they’re flying to. It transforms a routine part of the flight into a personalized, inspiring, and more meaningful experience.”
The resulting campaign, which blends cinematic ambition with technical innovation, showcases how AI-driven production can expand what brands and studios can achieve at scale.
“This campaign sits at the intersection of technology, entertainment, and storytelling,” said Eyal Saada, CEO, Peach by BBDO. “It proves what’s possible when innovation meets imagination, a new wave of production that connects with audiences in bold and meaningful ways.”
For Voia, founded by Silicon Valley veterans and supported by entertainment and media leaders, the EL AL project underscores how AI can support — not replace — the creative process. Designed specifically for live-action rather than animation or social content, Voia’s technology gives filmmakers the ability to visualize and adapt scenes instantly, reducing cost and complexity while keeping human performance at the center.
As the aviation industry increasingly embraces personalization, EL AL’s new safety video series signals how AI-augmented filmmaking may reshape large-scale branded storytelling.
